1966 Mustang’s front tire wobble is solved.

I just put a few miles on my new B.F.Goodrich Dual Redline Radial Tires from Coker Tires . They look as good as I envisioned them. If you experience front tire wobble, do not rule out tire separation. When driving back from a local car cruise, I was experiencing severe tire wobble. I pulled over, and looked at my tie rods and idler arm. I could not see well in the dark, so I limped it home. I checked everything again, and notices a bulge forming on the outer tire treads. The tires did not have much wear, but were dry rotted. Here are some pictures.

New tires for my 1966 Mustang

After 10 years, and as little as 6000 miles, my tires finaly gave out. Not from wear, but from dry rot. I was driving home from a local cruise night, when I felt a severe tire shimmy from the front. I thought it was a bad tie rod or an idler arm. It turned out to be a ballon growing thru the treads. These days, BF Goodrich tires are hard to find with white walls. It turns out that Coker Tires carries BF Goodrich 205/70R/14s with a dual red line. They will put what ever side wall you want.  They are going to look sweet on my Red 1966 Mustang. I will post some pictures soon.

Happy Cruising!
